Today was super fun. I knew I wanted to do a Thursday3, as I’ve been getting back into the swing of taking Thursday3s again each week. In addition to falling off my Thursday3 practice, while flipping through my photos, I was struggling to find a selfie! Which means that I’ve fallen behind in printing out my photos too…
It’s been that kind of summer.
Luckily, we’re moving into fall here in Michigan, we’ve had a nice cold front come in today, and it’s absolutely beautiful out. It also means that I can spend a lot more time in my studio and on the big computer, which means it’ll be much easier to get these emails out to you.
I’ll be changing up a couple of things for the next few months. I’m going to be cutting out the 60-second clips from the front of our videos. It’s the roadblock in the system right now, and the one big thing holding me back from getting these out to you.
These won’t be going away! I’ll keep making them for my favorite pages, and you’ll see them in my newsletters, in some roundups, on Substack Notes (and maybe a few other places!) So you’ll still be able to catch up with my super quick pages, just in a few different places!
Technique of the Day
I kept today’s page pretty simple. I wanted to experiment with cutting out numbers from my tissue paper stickers that I created a few months back. I hemmed and hawed for a bit, trying to decide how I was going to get these numbers on the page.
Eventually, I decided to use a sharpie (pretty unsuccessfully) in order to trace some letter stickers onto the back of my tissue papers stickers. I couldn’t believe that the sharpie didn’t work, so I got some ink on my page and my hands. It left enough of a mark that I could make some cuts, but it was not ideal.
My numbers turned out pretty chunky, but very cute. I wrote down my journaling with a lego pen that I’ve been loving lately. I’m so excited for the upcoming season.

Daily Pages: Tissue Paper Stickers
I spent the majority of the time today making new tissue paper stickers. You can check out the whole tutorial in today’s full video—or I’ll get around to editing it and putting it somewhere else eventually.

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Chunky = Charming
Your experiments don’t have to look polished to be worth it. Those imperfect cuts and marks often become the best part of the page.
Pro Tip: Try tracing or freehanding a number, letter, or shape—even if it comes out wonky, it still tells your story.
