Gluing on a Friday Afternoon

Precision cutting on a (still) rainy day.

Happy Friday friends! I hope that you’ve all got cool plans for the upcoming holiday weekend. The weather here is supposed to be better, but not good. So, I’m hoping to get outside and finally get al the plants I purchased into the ground. We’ve got a few things left to finish up on our front patio project, and then I really need to get everything going in my secret garden.

What are your plans for the weekend? Hit reply and lemme know or drop it in the comments below (I *hate* that comments are behind the paywall, I need to do something about that…).

Technique of the Day

I accidentally left this art print on my gel plate, and when I went to put it away, it was a little too warped to fit nicely back into it’s home. So it was either use it or lose it.

I cut up the flower, and then I pulled some other great bits from my Brandi package (came in the mail today!) and decided to go with a quote from one of the library cards.

I’m a huge fan of sticking double sided tape (as wide as possible) on the back of my quotes before I cut them up. It makes the entire thing easier to put down on the page once it’s all trimmed. Everything is automatically a sticker, and you don’t need to worry about trying to get adhesive on every bit of the tiny little strips.

Tips & Creative Wisdom

Turn It All Into Stickers

Prepping your quote cards with wide double-sided tape = game-changer. No fiddling with glue sticks or adhesive runners on tiny strips.

Pro Tip: When you batch prep your sticky-backed quotes ahead of time, you get all the creative freedom with none of the sticky mess. Which makes it so much easier to also put the quote back in the right order!
