Apparently, it’s a gel plate week? My pages for the past few weeks have been very different. Each day of the week had it’s own little thing going on. But this week it seems to be all gel printing all the time. And I’m definitely not mad about it.
Technique of the Day
Today is a terrrrrible headache day, so I was just messing around. First I took the sharpie creative marker and made some marks, then I added some paint and foam stamping (foam stamps are so cool), to create the background. I pulled it from the plate, added an old photo, a little title, and I’m good to go.
I’m not too worried about journaling about all these photos. I have most of these stories told in older scrapbooks. These are now repeats or not chosen photos that I’ve had leftover in the drawer for 10+ years. So getting them into any book is hitting my very low bar for scrapbooking these pictures.

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Foam Stamps Add Instant Texture
Foam stamps are a great way to get bold, textured prints without much effort. They work really well with gel plates, both for adding paint and removing paint.
Pro Tip: Try pressing a foam stamp into almost dry paint on your gel plate, then lift and print—the negative space it creates makes for a super cool effect.
