We’re in the back half of headache month—but, just like April showers bring May flowers; it can be a real b— to get through. I’m legitimately not that fun to be around after 4-5 continuous headache days in a row.
This is when I really need to lean in on resting my body. After multiple headache days, it’s harder to get the energy to do the normal human things, like eating properly and making sure I’m getting outside for a bit. Which in turn, makes the headaches worse.
Luckily, the weather doesn’t look too bad this week. No crazy temperature changes, and just a little bit of rain near the end of the week. So I’m feeling pretty confident I’ll be back to my normal self pretty soon. Just in time to really start enjoying the outdoors. I’ve been planning my secret garden for this year, and I want to have a place to do some work out there in the afternoons.
Technique of the Day
Today, I played around with the gel plate a bit. Started working with a stencil and a magazine image; but when I went to clean up the leftovers with a bit of pink paint—I really loved the print that came up, so we went with that instead.

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Trust the leftovers.
Some of the best prints don’t come from the plan—they come from what’s left behind. That “clean-up” layer can end up stealing the show (mine did!).
Pro Tip: Keep your expectations low and your eyes open when you’re pulling up residual layers. That’s where the magic lives.
