Last night, I hosted a little hangout over at the Awesome Ladies Project for community members to work on their Spooky Season ATC swap projects.
was in attendance and here’s a sneak at what she made during our session:I made some fun pink and orange ghosty cards that I can’t wait to send out to my swap partners. If this sounds like something up your alley—come and join us over at the Awesome Ladies Project, we’ve always got fun things going on, and we’ll have another swap coming up soon!
I was a little too tired to fully clean up after last night’s session, so before Daily Pages today I cleaned up my desk a bit more, put away some paints, and put all my tools back where they belonged.
My gel plate had a bunch of leftover paint all over it, so this afternoon I decided to clean it up a little bit more with another print pull. To try to get my plate as clean as possible, I used extra thin tissue paper (it dries super quick and helps to get all the paint off). It also really adheres to the edges of the paper and helps pull all the stuff off the outside.
I didn’t get *everything* off the plate, but I cleaned it up about 90% better then I left it last night, and that was good enough for me.
Technique of the Day
I loved all the little details on the gel print today, so I wanted to leave as much of the background showing as possible. I pulled out a Brandi Kincaid print, cut it up, and added it to the page.
I used my roll adhesive on the back of the quote so that I could just cut up the words and stick them down onto the page. I love roll adhesive for turning sheets of paper into instant stickers. Scrapbook.com is my go-to roll adhesive, but you can pick it up wherever you get your paper crafting supplies. Even the smaller rolls 1/2 or 1/4 inch are also awesome.

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Clean-Up Prints Count
Pulling leftover paint from your gel plate isn’t just tidying—it’s bonus art. Those layers and edges hold unexpected magic.
Pro Tip: Use thin tissue or deli paper for cleanup pulls. It grabs the paint fast and leaves you with dreamy, translucent textures.
