Daily Pages: Thursday3 + Gel Print Papers

Using up what I've got on hand

I’m still feeling pretty tired from yesterday. In addition to the doctor’s appointment, I’ve been doing all sorts of annoying doctors stuff on the phone for the past few days. Trying to get prescriptions fixed, making appointments with the neurologist after the baby’s born, and figuring out what else the insurance covers when it comes to the birth (doula, breast pump, etc). Why do phone calls take so much out of us? I think it’s partially the hold music lol.

For today’s page, I just wanted to create something super simple—and use up some more stuff that I’ve got around my desk. My studio is still insanely cluttered and it’s a pain in the ass to go around and try to pull things out to use. So it’s just a lot easier to use the stuff that’s already out.

Technique of the Day

I grabbed this red/pink paper that I created earlier this week for some ATC cards I created over at The Awesome Ladies Project and decided to use it to create some journaling cards for my Thursday3 page. I paired it up with a simple black gel plate paper that I created a few months ago and stuck in a folder.

I added some white number stickers and some journaling with a permanent pen. I love that this page has some spooky-ish colors, but it’s not a full on Halloween page. It fits perfectly along with the rest of the pages in this notebook.

Tips & Creative Wisdom

Match the Mood, Not the Theme

You don’t have to go full Halloween to feel seasonal. A few moody or muted colors can say just as much.

Pro Tip: Pick one or two colors that fit your vibe today and build your whole page around them. Instant cohesion, minimal effort.
