Happy Friday! This week marked my 1000th published post here on rukristin.com—I’ll be sharing a big interview that I did with myself in tomorrow’s newsletter. I want to thank you all so much for being here and hanging out with me each day.
Daily Pages is such a fun part of my life, and I’m so excited that I get to bring it to your inbox each day. If you ever have any questions on this practice, or want to know something more about any of the pages that I’ve made—please hit reply and ask!
And for those of you with an upgraded subscription, you can reply in the comments below (which is awesome because then other people get to see it as well!).
Technique of the Day
I was going for a cool galaxy look on today’s page. The first thing I did was grab a white Sharpie Creative Marker and make those fun star/asterisk marks. I love using these markers as the first layer on the gel print. They show up so well and you can do all sorts of fun stuff with them. I need to get my hands on the new color set when I get a chance too.
For the background color, I mixed some dark purple, dark blue, and black to get this fun deep color that really makes the white pop. To finish it all up, I added some rubbing alcohol to some silver paint and gave my page some splatters.
For the words—I added this Anne Lamott quote, illustrated by my friend Brandi Kincade. I love when I find the perfect words for a page.

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Build your own galaxy color blend
Layering purples, blues, and black creates that dreamy space vibe. Don’t worry about perfection—the magic happens in the mix.
Pro Tip: Add a little silver (or iridescent) paint with rubbing alcohol for starry splatter that dries fast and feels dimensional.
