Daily Pages: TGIF (in gel print)

Wrapping up the week with a little more experimentation.

Another gel print today. I figured I had to keep the streak going. Today I did some experimentation with paint I left on the plate overnight, and some different techniques with white paint acting as a barrier layer.

I want to repeat this technique again, but color in the window panes with Sharpie Creative Markers. But, that’s not for today—that’s for a day where I’ve got a little bit more time, but I’m excited to give it a try!

Technique of the Day

I had these foam stamps out again because I first wanted to try to pull some paint off my gel plate in the shape of these foam stamps, but I wound up only putting white paint down on the plate, which was great, because it meant the colors underneath showed up really well when I added that layer of white paint in between.

Making these two prints took long enough, so I didn’t really bother adding anything else to the page aside from a TGIF up at the top. I might consider coming back to this page if that was something I did…but there’s always next week and more pages.
