Daily Pages: Repeat, Riff, Rest

When everything hurts, do what worked yesterday and call it a win.

I feel like my most honest and authentic self wants to say the exact same thing I said to you yesterday—my head is killing me, so I decided to just do the same thing as yesterday.

Since today is Thursday, I decided to make it a Thursday3 page, which definitely makes it different than yesterday. Before we started, I went over and pulled some stencils to use and fit TH3 across the center.

I didn’t have room for a photo today—but I love how the page turned out regardless.

Technique of the Day

It can be really annoying to journal on paint. Keeping a sheet of scratch paper nearby can help with the bits of paint that tend to dry up the nib of the pen. You can see in the video what I do, and keep that in mind next time you’re using a pen (permanent pens are best) on your paint.

Tips & Creative Wisdom

Go With What Worked Yesterday

Creative routines can be reused. When your energy is low (hello, headache days), repeating a successful page structure—like using the same supplies or layout—is a great way to keep showing up without needing new ideas.

Pro Tip: Keep a mental (or physical) list of low-effort, high-satisfaction page formats for tough days.
