I’m starving. Jeff is winding down the year and they’ve got a bunch of half-days/early releases, so we’re going out to the adorable all-you-can-eat-sushi place on the other side of town for lunch.
My breakfast was meager, and I’m excited to have a huge lunch and then just snack on some produce for dinner (asparagus anyone?). Usually, I’d be working on finishing up the podcast episode this afternoon—I live record on Wednesday evenings—but we’re taking a summer break so I don’t need to spend the hottest time of the day here in my air-conditionless studio.
The technology really hates it, so I’d rather not overwork the computer and the hardware if I don’t need to. Also, it’s the summer, and we’ve got some other fun things going on.
Technique of the Day
I took a few gel prints that I had on my drying line, and picked out a few that I thought went together. I added them to the notebook and then decorated the page with a fun Brandi gallery style art print. I love how this one came out. Great colors. Super cute.

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Pairing Prints is a Power Move
Grabbing a few prints from your drying line and seeing how they play together on a single page is a great way to get out of a “what do I make today?” funk.
Pro Tip: Keep a mini stash of background prints near your desk—when you don’t have the energy to make something new, you can mix and match from what you’ve already got.
