Today’s page was so much fun, I was cleaning up yesterday and I threw a few extra stacks of post its on my desk. They worked perfectly as little rectangular masks for my gel plate. I that I’m in my gel printing experimentation phase. The messy beginner phase was long and tedious; but it’s been totally worth it on the other side.
Technique of the Day
I love how today’s page came out. I was originally going to do this on some yellow cardstock, but I couldn’t get the little post it notes off fast enough and my blue paint dried before I could get the cardstock down.
So I switched directions a little bit and tried to add some clear gel to pink paint and get a nice gradient. But I added in a little too much pink pigment, and I didn’t really get the gradient I was looking for.
Don’t get me wrong, I love how it came out—it’s just not what I was expecting.
