Daily Pages: No Ideas? Just Start Cutting

When in doubt, grab the scissors and make a mess

Happy Friday!

It’s a little later in the day than usual; I’ve been working on some fun stuff for the Daily Pages 5th Anniversary Celebration on April 5th. I want to get this out to you tonight before you get to sleep—so I’m not going to bog you down with my day-to-day nonsense. I’ve got a great newsletter coming out tomorrow morning, so be sure to check that out.

Technique of the Day

I just wanted to cut some stuff up today. I took some Brandi Kincaid postcards and turned them into this little art journal page. I added some journaling about being excited for the weekend and made this super simple page.

Tips & Creative Wisdom

Cut First, Arrange Later

If you’re feeling stuck, start by cutting things out—postcards, patterned paper, or old projects. Sometimes, the act of cutting can spark ideas you didn’t know you had.

Pro Tip: Keep a small stash of cut-up pieces in a container for easy grab-and-go creativity.
