Happy Tuesday! I’m spending most of today trying to move around all the stuff in my old office and relocating it into my studio. We’re turning the office into the nursery, and I’ve got a hard deadline to get everything out of that room. So that’s been taking up a majority of my time.
It’s been great to clear off a tiny space on my desk and create every day at noon. I appreciate this little time for my creative self, and I know I’m going to have to take a bit of a break after the baby is born, but I think this is something that I’m always going to need to come back to. For myself.
Alright, I’m gonna get back to the mess—have an amazing rest of your Tuesday!
Technique of the Day
I got out one of my favorite seasonal stamps—this leaf set from Kelly Purkey, made at least half a dozen years ago—and decided to play around with stamping a repeating background.
I picked out a few coordinating stamps, a few coordinating colors, and trimmed my paper down to size. I love repeating stamped backgrounds because all I need to do is set myself up for success, and then I can just spend the rest of my crafty time doing the physical making. It’s very little thinking once I’ve got all the supplies out onto the table.
