Today is a crazy headache day. It was in the mid-fifties yesterday and then it was snowing when I woke up this morning. That big double combo of temperature change and storm front is a recipe for lots of head stuff.
Fortunately, during Daily Pages, I was pretty pain-free—even though my brain wasn’t operating at full speed, as evidenced by the tiny smudges—and I put together this super simple Thursday3 page with an old photo.
Technique of the Day
Like I said earlier in the week, I’ve got a ton of old photos that I want to get into my books. This was perfect for today’s Thursday3 page. I started out Thursday3 as a way to take selfies and get more photographs of myself into my books. Now, more than a decade later, I’ve got a ton of photos of myself that I’d love to get into albums, and it’s super easy to stick them in my Daily Pages like this, especially when there’s no specific story that I want to tell to go along with the picture (I’ve scrapbooked this photo at least one other time, so it’s not unique).

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Embrace Imperfections
Smudges? Crooked stamping? A little bit of ink where you didn’t mean it? That’s all part of it. On days when things feel messy, lean into it. The goal is to get something on the page, not to make it perfect.
Pro Tip: If a mistake is really bugging you, washi tape, stickers, or even a little scrap of paper can turn an oops into a creative design element.
