Daily Pages: Currently November

Having fun with stickers in a brand new book

Happy November! I got to start a new notebook today! This will be my last Field Notes notebook this year. I’ll have a handmade book for my December project, so it’s fun to get in the rest of my Field Notes fun for November.

It was really fun to have my spooky season book last month, that’s been a fun tradition for the past few years. And I know a bunch of people like to have a theme for November as well—whether that’s gratitude, family stuff, or some other prompts—but I love having the freedom to play around and do whatever I want before I tie myself down in December.

So today’s notebook is just a regular, plain, old Field Notes notebook. And today’s page is filled with some really great stained glass style stickers from Pipsticks. It was fun putting them all down on the page in the right order. I needed to trim a few stickers in order to fit them all on the page. And since it was a little bit thinner than the page width, I added a favorite Brandi quote over on the left side.

Technique of the Day

This week’s Currently List:

Watching:

Football, YouTube (mostly food YouTube), and World Series Game 7. We’ve been working hard on all the baby stuff the past several days, so not too much time for catching up on TV. This week I’m hoping to catch up on Slow Horses and Great British Bake Off.

Reading:

Still in my reading slump.

Listening:

Onyx Storm (graphic audio edition)

Harry Potter 5

Making:

Lots of food. This weekend we had chicken marsala, ribs, and a huge Sunday gravy with braciole, sausage, and meatballs. Now we have leftovers (and food to freeze) for quite a while. I’m a huge fan of doing big cooks on the weekend, and taking it easy during the week.

Feeling:

Pretty good. Just trying to keep everything pretty average for now. My headaches have been creeping up again, I don’t know if it’s the transition into the second semester or the weather, or both.

Planning:

More stuff for the baby’s room. We need to get a bunch of different textiles—curtains, something to cover the closet, a throw blanket for the glider, and some more cozy bits.

Loving:

How good the baby’s room looks. We painted and put together a majority of the furniture this weekend. The colors are amazing, and everything is so cozy! I’m also psyched that I have a place to put everything that keeps getting shipped to the house!
