My studio is a disaster. It’s the worst it’s been in years. Granted, there’s a good reason—I just moved the entire contents of my office in here, and there are piles everywhere—but still, it’s a legit disaster. So, instead of pulling out more stuff to try to do cool techniques, I’ve been relying on whatever is available for easy access.
Today I grabbed my box of small scraps and decided that it would be a collage day. Also perfect for a day where both my head and my stomach are bothering me.
Technique of the Day
I grabbed my lil box of scraps—this one holds scraps under 4x6, and picked out a bunch of papers that fit with this season. I got some cute pumpkins, lots of yellows and oranges, and rounded it out with some black and white. I do so much better with my scraps when I sort them by size instead of anything else. So hopefully this storage works for me in the future too!
To finish up today’s page, I added some Brandi Kincaid stuff—a clear “hope” sticker and a cut apart library card with a fun quote on it. I love cutting up her mailings and sticking them in my Daily Pages notebook.

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Collage Is Self-Care
On tough days, glue and paper can do the thinking for you. Layering scraps is grounding, tactile, and low-pressure.
Pro Tip: Pick a color palette and glue without overthinking. Let your hands lead the way.
