Daily Pages: Channeling 90s Sticker Sneeze

Playing around with garbage and retro toy stickers on a rainy day

Man, I am beat today. It’s been gross and ugly out all day. The high for today was 52 and the low was 47 and it’s been raining non-stop since last night. Great for the plants, terrible for my headaches and my morale.

The cold and ickiness of the day has absolutely thrown everything off. I’ve got Jeff’s big cozy Eagles hoodie on, and there’s no way that I’m going to even touch any paint or ink. I’m absolutely terrible at keeping my own clothes clean, I’m certainly not going to take the risk with his favorite hoodie.

That being said, I did a little bit of pretty paper organization and talked out my paper scrap storage plans—whenever I actually get around to them. And then I stuck some scraps down on the page and went full 90’s sticker sneeze.

Technique of the Day

Sometimes the end result of our pages isn’t gorgeous. I’m not winning any style or design awards for this journaling spread. But it was fun, I got to clean up my scraps a bit, think about how I actually want to store some stuff, and then create a page with whatever sparked my interest.

This is not a project where I’m trying to create the best creative journal spread each day. It’s just a place where I have a relationship with this little notebook. I put stuff into it, sometimes it’s not always glamourous, but it’s fun and it serves a greater purpose.

Also—with these retro toy stickers, they absolutely needed to just be spread around the page like this. It might not look incredible, but it’s super authentic lol.

Tips & Creative Wisdom

Organizing Counts as Creative Practice

Flipping through your scraps, sorting them by vibe or color, and letting one spark your page? That’s part of the magic. Even if the final page is just chaos and stickers.

Pro Tip: Organization can be part of the process and the inspiration.
