Your Story is Worth Telling.

Your Story is Worth Telling.
Earlier tonight I was flipping through my instagram photos looking at all the snapshots I've taken over the last month. I have a ton of stories that I want to tell, a ton of little stories that make up the big picture.
I want to tell the stories of the CSA and all the new food we've been creating. I want to tell the stories of moving my sister to Chicago and our visit from Becky. I want to tell all the stories need to be told.
But sometimes I hesitate. Sometimes I leave my stories alone. Sometimes I don't really think my stories are worth telling.
Today I'm here to remind myself -- and to remind you, that's bullshit.
My stories are worth telling. All my stories are worth telling.
All the little stories, that are seemingly nonsense, or boring, or just snapshots of everyday life. Those are the stories that make up the big picture. They are all stories worth telling.
Because MY STORY is worth telling, and all those little stories are just small parts of my big story.
Your Story is Worth Telling.
Start by telling the little stories. An instagram photo here, a short list over there, a brochure or receipt from your last errand run. Don't overlook the details because they don't seem important in the moment. Document the details, the little stories. Do it so that you can go back and use them to provide depth and context.
Your story is made up of hundreds of thousands of little everyday moments, little stories, woven together to create your own personal tapestry.
Don't be afraid to tell the little stories -- they're what make up the big stuff.
Challenge: I'm challenging you to document one little story that happened today. Document it on instagram, document it in a scrapbook page, document it in an email or handwritten letter to me or a friend. Just take some time out of your day and document something that happened.
Start telling your stories. You are worth it.
