Behind the Page

I was at the doctor’s office all morning, then the lab for bloodwork, so I came back home and wanted to create a page that would be easy, simple, and just pretty to look at. I grabbed this sheet of solid pink gel print and used it as my background. I love having simple prints like this to use on a day where I don’t feel like making a ton of decisions.

Technique of the Day

When I’m making gel prints these days — I always do a few solid color prints. They’re a great way to clean up your gel plate, and they always have little blemishes or bits of old color. So you’re still creating completely unique papers each time.

The blue butterfly was the perfect bit to go on this left page — cool shape, great color, and it let me show off the pretty pink background even more. I cut it out of a 3x4 PL card — little cards like this are a great way to get some more bits of art in your notebook.

Reflections & Insights

What have you been watching lately? There’s so much great TV on right now. We finished watching the new Fallout show on Amazon this weekend, and I have so many great things to say about it. The world building was exceptional. The casting and the characters are fantastic. The music is delightful (how can you ever go wrong with Ramin?) And you don’t need to know anything about the video game series to fully enjoy the show. I could go on for a lot longer — but definitely check it out and let me know what you think.
