Total Eclipse of the Heart (also of the sun)
Sooo....it was so worth the extra effort. 10/10. Would Recommend.
Behind the Page
Yesterday, Jeff and I did the Eclipse thing. It was truly amazing, and I already want to check out the next one. Sunday night we drove down to Toledo, Ohio to get closer to the action, and yesterday morning we found a great local spot — a working farm/county park where we just hung out all day.
The difference between 99.9% and 100% was unreal. It was literally like night and day. I’m so glad that we made the trip and got to experience the full event.
Technique of the Day
Photo flips! I wanted to include as many photos as possible on this page, but I also wanted to get some thoughts and journaling down. So I used scotch clear tape to adhere the top edge of my photo inside the notebook, creating a hinge to let the photos flip up.
I included journaling and some stamping underneath the pictures. Just enough to tell a few of the stories that came out of yesterday’s adventure.
Reflections & Insights
I wanted to document a bit of yesterday’s adventure as soon as possible. There were a bunch of little details that I wanted to get down.
I’m sure that I’ll scrapbook one or two of my larger photos in my Book of Me or my 2024 album. But those albums are not on my radar this second — and I wanted to make sure that I didn’t forget the little things.

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Daily Pages is a great way to quickly document important stories. Photos are a big part of that. I don’t always have the foresight to print out pictures before Daily Pages, but today, I took the extra five minutes before the show to print out my favorite photos from yesterday, and it was totally worth it.
