Thursday3 The Snow Day Away
School was cancelled, so it was great to see so many faces at Daily Pages Live!
Behind the Page
I love a good no photo Thursday3 page. I’ve got my selfie for the day, but I wasn’t going to print it out for today’s page—not in the cards. But I’ll stick that photo in my digital diary page for today and we’ll be all good (I’ll be sharing some of that project in Saturday’s newsletter).
Technique of the Day
I had the tissue paper on my desk from yesterday, and thought it would make great numbers for today’s page. To keep things easy, I used a number outline stamp, trimmed everything up, and then stuck down my little numbers. I’ll do a video in the next few weeks about how I make the tissue paper stickers. It’s such a convenient thing to have on your desk when you’re wanting to play around with different papers.
The tissue paper is a little bit transparent, so it’s great for layering and collage (even if that’s not what I did here today). I am a huge fan of the subtle grid pattern through the tissue paper on today’s page.

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Use Numbers as a Bold Design Element
When you’re skipping the photo, make your numbers stand out! Large, stamped, or hand-cut numbers can add big visual impact to your page while keeping the focus on your words.
Pro Tip: Try layering numbers over different textures (like tissue paper or vellum) to add depth without cluttering the page.
