Thursday3 on a Friday
Sometimes life smacks you really hard -- right in the face.
Behind the Page
Oh boy, it’s been a week. The Hurricane Beryl remnants hit Michigan pretty hard on Tuesday night. And, no joke — I haven’t had headaches this bad in more than a decade. The pressure buildup and high temps made it absolutely unbearable. All I could do on Tuesday and Wednesday was record my Daily Pages. And by Thursday, I wasn’t even getting out of bed (thank god for audiobooks).
Luckily, today is much better. The storm is gone and everything around here has begun to stabilize. And, even better — I’m able to sit upright and eat food like a real adult human. So, since I didn’t get to make a page yesterday, I thought I’d do a Thursday3 on a Friday. Better late than never, right?
Technique of the Day
I used some acrylic paint (it was on my desk and I didn’t feel like putting more thought into this than absolutely necessary) and some clear stamps. Whenever I’m stamping with paint, I like to use my gel plate as a stamp pad. It has enough give so that when you stamp into the paint, you get paint on the full stamp. Sometimes, when your stamp pad surface is too hard, you’re not gonna get the paint coverage you need on the stamp for a clean stamp.
Reflections & Insights
Thursday3 is a great way to document the random stuff happening right now. I really wanted to document the weird week I had, and how I was feeling — and t3 is such a simple way of getting those stories down without thinking too hard. Which is especially useful when you’ve been in an epic fight with your brain all week.

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Give yourself the grace to create in a way that works for you in this season of life. Break rules, make up new rules, experiment, just keep things simple — whatever works for you.
PS — I’ll have my other Daily Pages from this week up over the weekend, and I’ll include links to them in Monday’s newsletter. Have an amazing weekend <3
