The Met Gala was a Delight — Here are my Favs
Obsessed with so many of the great looks on last night’s green carpet
Behind the Page
Last night was the Met Gala — and while I don’t normally think of myself as being into fashion, The Met is my absolute favorite place on earth, and this is the one night of the year that I’m glued to that livestream checking out all the amazing craftsmanship on these outfits.
I wanted to create a page today that had a little nod to some of my favorite dresses of the evening. If you haven’t check out the outfits yet, here are the ones I love the most (if you have favorites — hit reply and let me know, or leave a comment below).
My favorite looks of the evening:
Technique of the Day
The page is simple today — with just a few little dresses based on what I saw last night and loved. The first one with all the little circles was a nod to the Venus Williams dress that was absolutely stunning as well. The green and pink represent everyone who wore nature themed outfits. The blue-green ombré is the Anok jumpsuit that was so incredible. And that final dress was inspired by the Ayo dress.
Reflections & Insights
I had so much fun making these mini-creations, and I love that I’ll immediately be reminded of the great art that I saw last night on the green carpet.
I love using my notebook to tell little stories like this. I love when there are stories that can be told through simple visuals like this one.
