Today’s Color

Behind the Page

I’m still having a ton of fun playing around with collage. I’ve got a bunch of great little teal bits in my stash that were absolutely perfect. It’s been really fun to match up my paper bits with some of the fun stickers I’ve got in my stash.

Technique of the Day

Flat stuff is perfect for Daily Pages (or any type of creating in a notebook). The fixed amount of pages can really struggle when you’re adding stuff with a bunch of bulk. So I try to keep my pages as flat as is reasonable. Sometimes I’ll add in puffy stickers, or chipboard — if that bit is perfect. Otherwise I’m keeping things as flat as I can.

Reflections & Insights

I’m so ready for a relaxing weekend. It’s been SO HOT here. I’ve been sequestering in my living room where the air conditioning keeps it coolest. Unfortunately, I don’t have air conditioning in my studio and so I’ve been neglecting my creative time and space a bit this past week.

We’re gonna cool off a bunch over the weekend, so I’m looking forward to hanging out (and cleaning up) my studio as soon as the weather cooperates!

What’s going on with you this weekend?

Tips & Creative Wisdom

I hope that you have an amazing weekend. We’ve got some cool stuff going on around here — we’ve got a Jazz Festival downtown for the Summer Solstice. We might go check that out tomorrow if the storms aren’t too bad. I hope that you’re in a place where you can enjoy this June weekend. <3
