Behind the Page

So, I’ve been feeling a little weird for the last few weeks — and on last Monday I went over to the cardiologist and got fitted for a week long heart-monitor to check out what’s going on.

This morning, I was able to finally take off the monitor and send it back to the doctor. The worst part, honestly, was all the sticky stuff that was stuck to my skin. When they put it on in the office, they swabbed my entire chest with a skin-sticking solution in order for the monitor to stay on all week. It took forever to wash it all off, and it did a number on my skin.

So when I came across this art print from the wonderful Brandi Kincade, I knew it was the perfect thing for today’s page.

Technique of the Day

I needed something in the background — just the print and the Currently card were too sparse. So I grabbed a stamp set from the same artist and added a few little stars to the background in various shades of purple (same as the art print background). It added enough interest to make me super happy with the final product.

Reflections & Insights

There are lots of little ways for you to tell stories in your notebooks. Whether you’re doing direct journaling, sharing photos, or using bits of creative supplies to represent something you’re feeling — it all counts.
