Behind the Page
My head was hurting me a lot this morning — I took a nap almost as soon as I woke up this morning, and it left the rest of my day feeling a little off. When I got to my desk for Daily Pages, I wasn’t really feeling anything specific. It wasn’t that I didn’t want to create — I just didn’t really care what I created, I just wanted to cut and glue and stick stuff down.
Stickers are a big go-to supply for me when I’m in the ‘just want to stick stuff down’ mode. For me, Daily Pages are a way for me to connect my hands and my brain, even if it’s not for a specific outcome. And playing around with stickers is such a great way to keep your hands busy.
Technique of the Day
I picked out these clear apothecary stickers for a few reasons:
I wanted something that was going to let the background color really play a big part. I love this blue shimmery paint and I didn’t want to cover up the entire page with stickers.
I loved figuring out the best placement for them on the page. The whole sticker sheet was going to more than cover (I had a few leftover) my page, and it was just enough brain work for me to enjoy figuring out the best arrangement.
I *need* to use my Halloween stickers. I always forget to use the awesome stash of Halloween stuff that I’ve got until like two days before actual Halloween. This year I’ve got it all out and easy to access so I can use it throughout spooky season.

Tips & Creative Wisdom
Celebrate the Act of Showing Up
Consistency is a win in itself, no matter what your creative outcomes are on any given day. Some days you’ll feel inspired, and others you’ll simply be going through the motions—but showing up every day is what builds resilience. And resilience is what makes bouncing back seem like second nature. Remind yourself that each time you go to create a page, you’re strengthening your creative habit. It’s a victory worth celebrating, even if all you do is write a few random thoughts or stick down a few random stickers.
Tip: At the end of each week, give yourself a small reward for sticking with your Daily Pages. This could be as simple as taking yourself out for a coffee or treating yourself to a new pen. For me — I hang out with my friends on Friday night to snack and chat about all things creative.
