Behind the Page

Hi friends — I hope you had a good weekend. I got so sick last week, I spent Wednesday through Saturday pretty much entirely in bed. It was a cold that I got from Jeff who has been teaching elementary age kids, so it was pretty much inevitable. After a weekend of rest, I’m ready to get back into the swing of making — so I did a little bit of collage with some of the gel print scraps I had lying around. Something super simple to ease the transition. <3

Technique of the Day

This week’s Currently List:

Watching:

League of Legends World Championships (idk why I’m so into this right now, but it’s so much fun), Football, Elite, Shrinking

Reading:

I’ve got a few new books on my kindle, but I didn’t want to start anything new until I was feeling better — hopefully I’ll find something good this week while still waiting for all my sequels to drop in Libby.

Listening:

The ACOTAR audiobooks. I’m on ACOMAF — audiobooks were basically the only thing I did last week while lying in bed. I got through a lot of the story lol.

Making:

Nothing. Just trying to rest.

Feeling:

Definitely better, much less coughing and congestion — but I’m super tired after putting in a full-ish day today.

Planning:

The Awesome Ladies Project Virtual Scrapbook Festival (save the date — November 14-17th). I’ll share details here later this week.

Loving:

The Cowboys on a big losing streak. My new favorite thing is to watch the condensed version of the games each week, and watching the Cowboys lose repeatedly definitely has a lot of entertainment value.

Tips & Creative Wisdom

Challenge Yourself to Write More Than the List

The list is great as-is, but what if you want to dig a little deeper? Pick one item—maybe “currently reading”—and journal a bit more about why it matters. What’s drawing you to this book? How is it making you feel? By expanding on one of the prompts, you turn a simple list into a fuller reflection of your current life.

Pro Tip: Keep it simple. Write a couple of sentences (like I do in this email) nder one entry, or add a mini reflection box at the bottom of the page. How does going beyond the list help you tell a richer story?
