Sharon Talks about Color Theory & Art Journaling
The following is a guest post from rukristin creative team member Sharon (nulls). Today she's talking about color theory and sharing some recent color-coordinated projects.

I LOVE color, in every way. I have a pumpkin colored living room, a red kitchen, and I am not afraid of color. I sometimes even buy cans of things I don't eat because I like the colorful labels. I paint every day and I tend to use lots of bright colors, particularly RED. Red is my favorite color! Red things even taste better, cherries, gummy bears and fruit punch for example.

I studied color theory many years ago and reviewed some information before I did this project. Some colors can make you hungry, some can make you want to purchase more in a shopping venue, some can make you sleepy and others keep you awake! They say black makes you look slimmer.
Colors also have meaning, some think red means vivacious, and others say it means anger..The color of flowers have meaning also, if you send red roses, it means, "I love you", and yellow roses mean "friendship" Be careful what you send lol!

All I know is that color makes me happy, whether it be a set of paints, a crazy grandma quilt, or bright red converse, all I know is that I can change the way I feel and make a sad day much better. I selected a few of my favorites to share with you on these art journaling pages. If you are a black and white person, try a little color!

Thanks so much,
Sharon (nulls)
