Hey friends!

Happy September!

Today is the first day where it’s really cooled off here. We had a really nice day yesterday, but the overnight temps went way down and today has been such a great day to get cozy and think about what’s coming up this fall. For our theme this month, we’re going to be talking about color again — but this time our theme is monochromatic, so a different way to look at one of our favorite things.

This monthly content is a part of your paid Substack subscription (or Feminist Scrapbook School membership). It’s overflowing with inspiration and ideas to help you get your stories told with ephemera!

rukristin: Feminist Scrapbooker is supported by creative humans like you. To receive our Lens Mini-Magazine each month and support our work, consider becoming a paid subscriber.

Here’s what you can look forward to this month:

  • Ephemera: This issue of Lens Magazine celebrates the art of capturing the fleeting moments and the bits of life that tell our stories. Whether it's ticket stubs from a concert, a handwritten note, or a pressed flower from a summer walk—each holds a unique story.

  • Daily Pages Challenge: Explore our monochromatic theme with different Daily Pages challenges, each designed to encourage you to incorporate those little bits of life onto your pages. This month, let's gather and document a deeper dive into our favorite colors and the shades we love.

  • Book of Me - Monochromatic Color Edition: Dive into our monthly story and style prompts, helping you to craft at least one page in your Book of Me that celebrates the beauty of monochromatic colors. Embrace the stories, photos, and colors that paint the picture of your life.

  • Creative Team Inspirations: Get inspired by our talented creative team's contributions this month, creating projects that showcase their love and inventive uses of monochromatic colors.

  • Quarterly Planning Session: Don’t miss our special Feminist Scrapbook School Quarterly Planning Session this Saturday afternoon at Noon ET! Join us to plan out the next three months of your creative projects. **This planning session will be available to all paid subscribers (FSS + Substack). It’s a great introduction to what we offer over at FSS!

How to Access Lens Mini-Magazine

Paid subscribers will find the monthly Lens mini-magazine PDF right below. If you're a student at Feminist Scrapbook School, we usually have a classroom for you with even more inspiration — but we’re overhauling those in our ALP 3.0 update, and will return this fall even better!
