Today’s Color

Behind the Page

I’m so into today’s page. It probably turned out a little more blue overall; but that’s just the paint color I mixed. I should have added just a little more green to the mix. But, that being said, Color Month is for experimenting! And I absolutely love how today’s page turned out. It just feels fun and good and me.

Technique of the Day

I did a quick bit of Thursday3 journaling here on this tag — but the really cool technique from today is that acrylic paint stamped background. I mixed the color myself to coordinate with the shade of cardstock I picked out. And had a great time painting on my foam stamps to create this look.

I’m loving foam stamps lately — I think it’s because I’ve also been loving acrylic paint lately. What are some of the tools that you seem to be grabbing a lot this time of year?

Reflections & Insights

Even though Thursday3 started out as a selfie challenge (which I still do each week) — I’m way off social media these days, and so even though I’m taking my selfie, there isn’t anywhere that I’m usually sharing it directly (this will change with the new ALP site upgrade I think). Which means that I’m not really documenting three things about my life unless I do it in my Daily Pages.

Sure, I could print out my selfie and add it to the page, but that’s introducing a bunch of barriers to creating my page, and I don’t like to put a lot of arbitrary rules on Daily Pages. So some Thursdays it’s just a little bit of journaling, and that works great for me.

Got some paints that you’re really into right now? (Me too). Get messy and have fun!

Got a few supplies hanging out that you’ve wanted to start using? This is a great reason!
