Recipe: Orange, 2 Patterns, Squares, & Something Sticky
------------------
This week's challenge is to use the above recipe to kickstart your creative self-storytelling.
Do you have a photo that you've been wanting to scrapbook?
A quote that you've been wanting to put in your art journal?
A weekend trip that you want to document in a mini-album?
Or maybe you just want to get the stories of today out of your head and onto the page.
Use the recipe challenge above to create a project you love!
My Challenge Project

For this challenge I created a 8x6 double spread featuring a two patterned title page with journaling tag on the left and six black and white square photos in a grid design on the right.
I used my Canon Selphy printer* to print out these photos (six 2x2 photos on a 4x6 grid) and I'll have a step-by-step tutorial up on the process next week. ----------------------

Awesome Ladies Project Creative Team Projects

For these Recipe Challenges, I'll be piecing and putting together my very own Flair Trays. What are Flair Trays you ask? It can be an instant inspirational or mood board for your art projects! All on a tray! Just strategically put things together that are pleasing to your eye and have fun! For this week's Challenge, I paired together 2 patterned paper tags with journaling on vellum, a square wood veneer, the color orange! and my something sticky were my orange washi tapes! Plus a few other orange things in the mix, including fabric swatches, paper flowers and more. This was tons of fun to play with and put together!

Using orange and pattern was a fun experiment this week. I wanted the colours and patterns to 'pop' so I started with a white background and a black and white photo. The stitched quilt pattern help convey the idea of home and comfort for a story about my little boy and I navigating BIG emotions.
