Hey friends,
We got snow over the weekend, and it’s been cold enough all week that everything is still magically white outside…until this afternoon where it got a little warmer and everything is dripping wet. That’s okay though — we are getting more snow tomorrow, and my dream of living in a permanent winter wonderland is on track!
In addition to the first real snow of the year, I’m so excited to tell you about this new course that I’ve been working on. It’s called The Storyteller’s Almanac, and it’s all about helping you figure out how you want to scrapbook in 2024. Because it’s me, this course isn't just about scrapbooking - it's a transformative experience in storytelling and self-discovery, ready to help you discover how you want to capture life's moments in 2024. There’s also a really epic workbook that you’ll absolutely love.

We’ve got interactive learning with detailed workbook sections, creative exercises, and supportive community engagement. Feminist Scrapbook School members -- don't miss our weekly Office Hours every Wednesday evening for personalized guidance and community sharing. And, of course, FSS members get this course, as well as the Spring 2024 courses (to be announced soon!), and the full library of dozens of other courses, prompts and master-classes included in their subscriptions.
Remember, each story you tell is a thread in the fabric of your year. With The Storyteller's Almanac, these threads will weave a vibrant tapestry of memories, experiences, and dreams. Let's embark on this journey together and make 2024 a year of impactful and beautifully told stories.
Winter is inevitable. Especially when you live in the upper-Midwest. But, it’s so much more enjoyable when everything is beautiful and white and sparkling. Last year, we didn’t have much snow at all and winter was a slog. One of the great things about persistent snow on the ground is that it makes the sunny days even sunnier - a great antidote to the winter blues.
I’ve got my fingers crossed that we can stay pretty and magical for a long time this winter. I’ll keep you posted!

Tip of the Week
You know how everything we buy is constantly wrapped in plastic? Well, here’s a fun thing you can do with some of that plastic garbage.
In my Thursday Daily Page this week, I was experimenting with alcohol inks and the plastic packaging that some of my 12x12 paper came in. The result was this super cool stained glass effect. The ink dried immediately, making this a perfect mixed media technique to use in my quick Daily Pages. I can’t wait to use this technique in my December Daily Pages album!
A Look Ahead
We’re in December Daily Pages season. You’ll see my pages up here in the Substack each day (with a possible 1-2 day delay). These posts are located in the Daily Pages section of the Substack (which I don’t generally send out emails for). Although, I’ll probably share a few of my favs via email as well as just putting them up here on the site.
We’ve also got:
The last Daily Pages Challenge of 2023 starts Monday — it’s stamps!
We’ve got some amazing stuff coming up in the new year including Book of Me Prep Day and FSS Spring Semester Orientation.
