Hey friends!
It’s so cold here today — and it was so warm here just yesterday afternoon. The up and down temperatures make my headaches so much worse, and this lead up to spring is my least favorite time of year. Fortunately, I’ve got lots of fun things going on right now, including the 30 Days of Daily Pages: Women’s History Month class that starts on March 1st (you’ll hear more about it this upcoming week) and planning for Awesome Ladies Live in July.
Last night, I finally got around to making some more gelli prints and replenishing my stash of handmade papers. If you’ve been reading my daily emails, you know that I’ve been using up my gelli print papers and talking about how much I needed a session to stock back up on these prints.
I kept things really simple and only had a few different colors of paint on my desk. I grabbed a handful of printer paper, and just started making prints. I had a bunch of stencils that I made (details below) and I used those to make these interesting patterns on the prints.
If you want to know more about gelli printing — check out YouTube. There are great videos for beginners. I’m definitely still learning how to create the prints I like — but it’s a really fun process to go through, and I love the pages I create more and more each time.

Tip of the Week
I made a bunch of my own stencils for gelli printing with super cheap patterned paper and a pair of scissors. I folded paper in half and cut out different shapes to make some geometric patterns. Most of these stencils were single use — the cheap paper doesn’t hold up really well after getting paint all over it. But that was totally fine; the cheap paper made it really easy to cut intricate designs and it was a great way to use up a bunch of paper in an older paper pad I’ve been holding on to.
You can easily make stronger stencils with cardboard (I like to use the Ali Edwards story kit envelopes and cereal boxes) or plastic. I’ll share some of the other stencils I’ve made in a future email, but for today — I highly recommend grabbing some cheap paper and cutting out some of your own!
