Project Life 2014: March

So I've recently started Project Life-ing on a weekly basis again. If you're new to Project Life, it's a pocket page memory-keeping system designed by Becky Higgins, which has now become ubiquitous throughout the scrapbooking community.
To document my weekly pocket page spreads, I'm using a 9x12 album from Studio Calico. I'm in love with this size. I was originally doing the 9x12 size a few years back by modifying 12x12 size page protectors, and I'm glad to be back working in this size. I'm a huge fan of the 9-pocket spreads -- using all 3x4 cards feels very right for me. I think about 95% of this album will be with 9-pocket spreads. Although these 3x3 pockets are super cute and perfect for insta-size stuff as well.

Left Side:
Summary: I spent a lot of time in the studio this week. It was the first week of spring-light, and I just had a huge itch to organize as much as I could.
This side is all 3x4 pockets.
I cut a 4x6 photo in half to fill the bottom left pockets.
The hashtag is a plastic die-cut from last month's Studio Calico PL kit
For the center pocket, I trimmed a photo of my desk organizer and used it as a bridge between two patterns.

Right Side:
Summary: J+I went to a Magic the Gathering pre-release tournament with our friend at a card shop in Lansing. We spent most of the day there and came home happy and exhausted.
This side is all 3x3 pockets.
I really liked a few of my instagram photos from this event, and so I was drawn to the square pocket page.
I cut down a few 3x4 cards to fit in the 3x3 pockets.
I cut down memorabilia from the event to fit inside one of the pockets.
Most of my photos are in black and white due to the bad lighting at the event. It's like my oldest trick -- if the photos have weird color, just change them to black and white -- then they'll match everything.

Favorite part of this spread: The see-through pocket on the magic page. I made it by adding star confetti to the center pocket and then sewing it shut and adding a cardstock sticker to the top.
