Today’s Color

Behind the Page

Finding stuff for this page was not easy. But, I am super happy with how cute it came out. I’ve been having so much fun with these collage pages — I know I keep saying that, but they just make me so happy!

For this page, I’m glad that I found another one of those acetate frames. The roll adhesive works perfectly to keep it as transparent as possible (I also love that I can stick little stickers in there).

Technique of the Day

Every color got a collage page — and purple is no different. Unfortunately, I’ve got SO MUCH less purple stuff. I blame the manufacturers. There are so many great shades of purple and my embellishment collection does not reflect that.

I did wind up finding a bunch of really cute purple stickers — a bunch of cute little creature stickers? I love that gnome with the rainbow and that little monster with the horns is so great.

Reflections & Insights

I’ve got to create more purple supplies in the future. I’ll add that to the list of projects. Where do you get your favorite purple supplies? The best purple stuff that I’ve got is ink and paints — but I’d love to know some of your favorite paper lines that might have purple in them? Let me know in the comments below or hit reply!

Tips & Creative Wisdom

I’ve been thinking about what next year’s Color Month is going to look like, and I’m excited to see what techniques I’m into next year. Collage has been a big one for me this year, but there’s also lots of gel printing and stamping that went into this notebook.

I know next year will be just as fun — with new techniques, new ideas, and all the best colors.
