Behind the Page

I got to play with some of my scrapbook.com National Scrapbook Day purchases. I love Daily Pages as a place to just try out new stuff without having to worry whether or not I’m doing it right. It’s a great place to learn what I like about a new toy, learn the little idiosyncrasies of how something works (or how I want to use it).

Technique of the Day

Die-cuts and paper. Both of which came in my package this weekend. I found that while I love the color of the paper (and that it’s double sided), it’s not the best paper for die-cutting, as the dies rip the paper just a bit and you can see the white core of the paper.

Reflections & Insights

Today has been a long day, and I don’t really have much to say other than I’m getting pretty hungry and I’m gonna head over and start on some baked ziti for dinner, because that’s what I’m craving — and Jeff picked up all the ingredients! Lemme know what you’ve been craving lately.

Tips & Creative Wisdom

Play with your new stuff! What’s the most recent thing you’ve purchased and haven’t had a chance to play with yet? Pull that out and get your hands on it. Feel it, look at it, organize it, and hopefully — get some of it into your notebook.
