Behind the Page

It’s May! That means there’s a new lens theme going on this month — photography. I’ll be making lots of photo-forward pages throughout the month, and if there’s something that you’ve got a question about, hit reply and let me know what you’re thinking!

Technique of the Day

Using up photos in Daily Pages is one of my favorite ways to document little stories. Throughout the month I’ll be making many of my pages with photos, and today I started out with a random photo of some seedlings. This is a photo from a few years ago, but it’s the exact spot that I’m in right now with my plants. And I love that I can use old orphaned photos to tell stories that are representative of my current right now life.

It doesn’t matter that this photo is old. It’s helping me to tell the little story that I want to tell right now. And having a drawer full of leftover photos is a great way for you to tell your stories.
