Behind the Page
It’s Currently List Monday again — and today’s color is orange. I love everything on today’s page. I’m not usually a straight orange person, but I really love it mixed with other colors. Pink and orange, yellow and orange, warm ombré tones, they’re all wonderful together.
I also included this transparent orange on today’s page because we’ve been having the best strawberry shortcakes this week and the dough has a hint of orange zest. It just makes the whole thing so delicious.
What are your favorite ways to eat fresh produce this time of year?
Technique of the Day
I got a new stamp set over the weekend (it’s the Week in the Life alpha set from Ali Edwards). It’s got a bunch of different size letters on it, and works great for spelling out words with multiple of the same letter — like the r in currently.
Do you have any new supplies that you can play with on your next page?
Reflections & Insights
One of the things that I learned while using the stamp this afternoon, is that it’ll be really great to stretch the title to fit into the space I want it to fill. If I need the word to be wider, I can use more of the widest letters, if I need it to fit into a smaller space, I’ll use a majority of the thin letters.
This set will be a great way to make headers that are the exact same width even though they might have a different number of letters. I’ll have to try that out on a future page.
