Neon Smorgasburg Mini-Album
Hipster Food FTW.

Subject:
J and I went to Smorgasburg in Brooklyn this past April. The food was amaaaazing. We stuffed ourselves SO silly and then wound up getting caught in a 3 hour traffic jam on the way home (so lame); but still 100% worth it.
Unfortunately the weather was pretty crappy -- very overcast and just kinda gross. Which meant the pictures I took really didn't turn out so great. I originally scrapped these photos in another mini-album with lots of colorful journaling, but when I came across this awesome neon acrylic album cover from Jamaica Makes -- I knew I had to give it another go.
Date Made:
Summer 2013
Construction:
4x6 matte cardstock photos printed in b/w from Persnickety Prints
Mounted onto 5x6 sheets of kraft cardstock (right justified with binder holes on the right)
Skinny yellow washi tape
Aquamarine binder rings
Neon Pink acrylic mini-album covers from Jamaica Makes
Number of Pages:
Nine + Front and Back Covers
Notable Parts:
I kept this book as simple as possible. When I don't have the best photos, I like to convert them to black and white -- it helps especially take the 'dreariness' out of grey-day photos. To brighten it up, I added pops of very bright colors -- neon pink, yellow washi, and blue binder rings.
To tell the rest of the story, I added a giant journaling pocket to the back page and wrote a short essay about the highlights of our trip.
Materials Used:
Kraft cardstock, skinny yellow washi, binder rings, Jamaica Makes album cover, Kelly Purkey alpha letters, Basic Grey Hey You Pocket
