Magic! - A Harry Potter Mini Book
The following is a guest post from Awesome Ladies Creative Team member Jasmina. Today Jasmina is sharing an awesome Harry Potter themed 4x4 mini-album from a trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Florida. I have a thing for mini books: I love that they tell short stories, and that they can be made into a cohesive whole. As I have more long-term, ongoing memory keeping projects, I get very excited about those projects that can be completed relatively quickly. I also have a thing about mini books: my favorites are those that tell more than just a story of what happened. I prefer that they bring together photos of people, things, and events in ways that usher in some processing and reflection.

Earlier this year, I was finally able to travel to Orlando and check out The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios (among other Florida activities, including Disney and beach time). These travels are already documented in my Project Life and may come together in another travel mini, but Hogsmeade, Hogwarts, and Diagon Alley was just extra special and deserved its own space.

Because my time in all of these fun places would mean very little without the words and inspiration from the Harry Potter series, I thought that this mini could combine my favorite moments or images from the visit with my favorite quotes from the books. Most of the quotes are your standard Dumbledore inspiration and thoughtfulness – to be your best self, to do good, to fight for what you believe in.

I also made sure to include a few quotes from my very favorite characters.

And I had to include the quote that is most cited in my life – not at all inspirational, but hilarious when delivered in the nasal tone of Alan Rickman’s Professor Snape.

Lightning bolt stamp comes from the rukristin shop and was the one piece that convinced me that this book needed to be its own thing. Other supplies used include Studio Calico Fairy Tale stamp set and stamp set from the 2014 December Daily kit. Also used: Little B washi and Studio Calico chipboard stars & geotags.
