Behind the Page

I’m still in the process of cleaning up my studio (it’s gonna take some time). And I was making some good progress this morning, so I didn’t want to make a huge mess this afternoon during Daily Pages.

I have so many amazing bits of art, whether it’s a postcard like I used today, or patterned papers, or quotes I’ve pulled from magazines. It’s all amazing fodder for your notebooks. And even if you don’t do Daily Pages like I do, it’s always great to have a little notebook where you can just put down the cool stuff.

Technique of the Day

Today I cut up a postcard with a quote on it, from my friend Brandi Kincade. I added some little black and white lady stickers to the page and colored in there outfits with some brush markers. A very simple page with minimal mess.

I always love highlighting quotes in my notebooks. It’s one of the best ways for me to get my thoughts out onto the paper without actually having to journal myself. Brandi makes amazing quote cards, my friend

also makes amazing quote cards, and you can always make your own in Canva or just use letter stickers/stamps.
