Today’s Color
Behind the Page
Today was the second day in a row that I needed an afternoon nap — and a much longer nap then I had anticipated. But hey — that’s absolutely what my body needed, and if I want to keep myself healthy, I need to listen to my body (and so do you).
It’s currently prime headache time for me. The weather has been up and down in temps, it’s been raining every other day, and my hormones are also being a real PITA.
Technique of the Day
So today I kept it simple. Patterned paper and a quote from a journaling card. This took me less than five minutes from when I got to my standing desk to when I took a photo of the finished product. The cool thing about having a creative practice is it eventually becomes second nature to know when to push yourself and know when to rest.
Reflections & Insights
Keep things simple when you need to. A sheet of patterned paper or cardstock with today’s color and then some words or a photo — whatever you’ve got on your desk.
Remember that we are here to explore and learn about colors and how they make us feel — this isn’t about trying to create ‘perfect’ representations (whatever that might look like) of our colors.
You’ve all been making such amazing things so far during Color Month — thank you so much for being a part of this community and participating along with me.
