Katie's December Daily Art-Journal Mini-Album
The following is a guest post from Creative Team member Katie. Today Katie is sharing a peek into her December mini-album -- part art journal, part scrapbook, part everyday inspiration
Hey guys, Katie here again!
Today I wanted to share a peek into this journal/mini-album I am working on. It is partially a December Daily album, partially an album for #30Lists and also a little bit of a Christmas art-journal, all rolled up into one.
Just like my fellow awesome lady Sharon, I am also using a recycled book for my album base. I love how we both used old Readers Digest books, we didn't even plan it. The patterns on these old hardback books are just so lovely, they're begging to be turned into projects. Great minds think alike, I guess!
I cut out the actual book pages and filled it with patterned paper and gelli prints, ready for me to embellish and add photos as I document my December. This is a great stash busting project. I keep all my Christmas supplies in their own container, so this time of year I pull them out and try to use them at every available opportunity! :)
I have also used the rukristin BASICS Months clear stamp set a couple of times. I stamped the "December" stamp along both the top and the bottom of one of my pages to make a fun word-art border.
Because I am also doing the December version of #30lists in this album, I am using the rukristin 30 Days of Lists clear stamp set (which has 25 individual stamps on it btw!). I've premade a bunch of "list cards" using the stamps, and then I fill them out every day. Or even every couple of days if I'm falling behind.
.
This is my second year creating a December album, and I love it. It is a really fun challenge to do, making me scrapbook or at least journal/create a list every day.
Have you kept a December Daily album?
