Katie's 30 Days of Gratitude Stamped Art-Journal
Hey everyone, Katie here again! Today I wanted to share with you this art-journal/mini album I created to use to document 30 things I am grateful for.

This project was inspired by Cathy Zielske's "30 Days of Thankful" project. I wanted to document one little thing every day this month, November 2015, so I created this art-journal mini-album. In this album I'll be using patterned papers, stamps, and my Bind-It-All machine.

First, I started by gathering all of the supplies I thought would work well for this project. The IT Factor 6" paper pad combined with a few paper scraps and gelli prints I had in my stash made up the pages. I cut some chipboard down to use as the front and back cover, adhering patterned paper to the front sides and stamping on the insides.

I wanted to fill up the inside covers with stamping. I love the look, so I grabbed my favorite rukristin stamps and went to work. I used the Basics Number stamps, Basic Months stamps and the 30 Days of Lists stamp set. They combined perfectly for this "30 days" theme.
For the outside of the cover, I scribbled on some hot pink gelato, spritzing it with a little water for an artsy look and then heat embossed the number "30", and "November 2015". Heat embossing is what I do if I want to stamp onto busy patterned paper, as I think it helps it stand out.

I went a bit crazy with the label stamp in the Basic Months clear stamp set. I stamped it 30 times (30 days, 30 labels. duh.) onto white card stock and cut them all out. Since I prepped this album before November started, I adhered my labels onto my pages, and stamped number in them, but didn't fill them out right away (another duh!).
We're well into November now and I've been doing pretty good keeping up with doing one a day. Documenting the little, every day things (like tea!), because they are important too, as well as writing down obvious things I am thankful for- like my family.

Have you done an album like this? Where you document things you are grateful for? I would definitely recommend it as a fun challenge!
