Behind the Page

I pulled one of the pages I made earlier in the week to document some Thursday3 for today. The tags made it super easy to just journal right into the background of the paper. Stencils are great for this, it doesn’t even have to be tags. Whatever gives you some distinct spaces around the page.

Technique of the Day

I haven’t had the Sharpie Creative brush markers nearly as long as I’ve had the bullet tip ones, so I’m still not sure what I can and can’t do with them. Today, I experimented a little with layering them and doing some handwriting. It’s fine. I don’t love how it looks, I think I’d like it would look better if I had some thin black ink over the top — maybe I’ll try that tomorrow?

Tips & Creative Wisdom

Explore Different Aspects of Who You Are

Thursday3 isn’t just about capturing a moment—it’s a way to explore three tiny facets of your life right now. You can use your selfies as a jumping-off point — or go totally no-photo. Give yourself a chance to explore themes around identity: What are you feeling this week? What are you learning about yourself? Each line of your Thursday3 journaling reflects how you see yourself evolving over time. This allows you to document changes in your personal identity in a simple and easy way.

Tip: Try writing a short reflection under your Thursday3 list that connects to the theme of identity. Try things like “This week, I’m embracing, Today, I’m feeling, etc...”
