I can't get enough of this new show
And tbh -- I hate watched the first few episodes and now I'm obsessed.
Behind the Page
…so I started Industry last week. And just like Succession, it took me until the end of the first season to really get into it. We stayed up late last night to finish up season 1, and now I can’t wait to dive into the next season (BTW — Jon Snow is apparently gonna be on this show now?). Season three just started again, so I’ll definitely be caught up when this season’s finale airs in a few weeks.
If you liked Girls and Succession, this one is for you.
Technique of the Day
The background paper is from my experimentation last week with the black tissue paper. The left side of the page is a layer of pink, then a layer of white. The right side of the page is two layers of pink paint. You can see the difference between the two, and I thought it would look cool layered over the two pages in my notebook.
I used some of my older stamps (and StazOn permanent ink…as we’ve learned) to create the background. I date all my Currently List pages, so putting the date in the background was a fun way to get today’s date on the page.
Reflections & Insights
Currently Watching:
Industry — see above.
Jane the Virgin — It was time for a rewatch, and it’s leaving Netflix early next month, so I wanted to get in one last easy rewatch before it gets ported somewhere else.
Blue Ribbon Baking Championship — A brand-new Netflix cooking competition with Sandra Lee and Jason Biggs. It’s so wholesome and cute. They’re making such yummy things, and everyone isn’t being a cut-throat jerk like in a lot of the shows.
Currently Other Stuff:
Listening — Lots of audiobooks right now. It’s my main listen. I’ve got Fourth Wing and the third GoT book: A Storm of Swords.
Making — Steak tacos for dinner tonight. We made peach salsa over the weekend with all the stuff we got from the CSA and I can’t wait for tonight’s meal.
