Behind the Page

I needed something super chill for today — I’m doing my best to keep things as relaxed as possible around here for the rest of the day. I grabbed some digital stickers from the Paper/Person shop. I printed them out on some matte sticker paper (I love this stuff). I spent most of my time today cutting out the stickers. I find cutting things out to be super relaxing.

Technique of the Day

I had a bunch of stickers that I wanted to use today (all the Paper/Person ones I cut out, plus my voting sticker, and this RBG sticker from my stash), and they weren’t all going to fit on a single spread. My solution was to create two flip out pages and give my stickers a bunch of space.

Depending on how I’m feeling over the next few days, I might add some more journaling on these pages later on.

Tips & Creative Wisdom

Include Holiday Ephemera

Holidays (yes — Election Day is a holiday) are full of little paper treasures—stickers, tickets, receipts, and cards. Incorporate these pieces of ephemera into your Daily Pages to add a tangible memory of the holiday. It’s a simple, scrapbook-inspired way to document the day and gives your pages a unique, personal touch.

Pro Tip: Create a small pocket or flip out pages (like I did above) on your page to tuck away mementos. What ephemera will you want to remember down the road?
