Today’s Color

Whoops! I forgot to hit the send button on this email last night. Apologies for that! Thanks so much for participating in Color Month with me. I’m loving all your pages <3

Behind the Page

Today is our last green day in this year’s Color Month — so I wanted to make sure that I had a collage page. Technically today’s color is ‘dark green’ but I took some liberties with that and used mostly shades on the darker side of green, with some lighter greens mixed in.

Technique of the Day

I’m very much into these monochromatic collages at the moment. It’s so much fun to try to Tetris things onto the page and make it all fit. I’ll definitely be doing more of this in the future, even beyond Color Month. It feels even easier now that I have my little bits organized in a way that I actually see and use them.

Reflections & Insights

As I’m flipping through this notebook, I see these little color cards and I’m so glad that I picked them out at the beginning of the month to use. It’s very cool to see something so similar every few pages. It really ties the whole book together.

Tips & Creative Wisdom

We’ve got another week and a half left of Color Month! Remember that you are encouraged to create in whatever way works for you. No matter how many pages you’ve got done already 1, 9, or 19 — the rest of the month can be whatever you need.

If you’re struggling to get caught up — consider doing one page from each color family, or a bunch of pages with your favorite color. There’s no wrong way to participate in Color Month!
