DIY Valentine Cards for Your Girl Gang
The following is a guest post from rukristin Creative Team member Katie. Today Katie is sharing a couple non-lovey themed Valentines Day cards she created for her friends.

Hey guys, Katie here! Today I'm here sharing these cards.

They are Valentines themed, without being overly Valentines-y, if that makes sense. I'm single, but I still really love making Valentines day projects, it could just be because pink is my favorite color, but I always think Valentines can be about all of the things you love, not just romance.
Anyway, I wanted these cards to have a fun, artsy look to them, which meant it was the perfect time to pull out my watercolors and play!

I cut down some mixed media paper to the size I wanted. If you're using watercolors or a bunch of wet media, I highly recommend using watercolor paper or mixed media paper over regular card stock. It holds up better, and doesn't warp so much.
For the pink card, I stamped a pattern of circles using the circle stamp from the Currently List stamp set and stamped the little heart from the Relationships stamp set inside each of the circles.

For the aqua card, I just used the little heart from the Relationships stamp set, but I stamped it over and over, created a fun little pattern of "falling" hearts.

I kept the cards themselves pretty simple. I just layered the stamped papers on top of a pattern paper and adhered that to my card base, adding a few stickers/embellishments to the top.
