Behind the Page
Day two of cookie baking — today we made the rugelach, the thumbprint cookies, and the chocolate sandwich cookies. The rugelach are my favorite, and I can’t wait to make them again for New Year’s Eve. The fruit and nut filling is absolutely amazing and the perfect amount of deliciousness next to the flaky pastry.
Technique of the Day
I used my latest Paper/Person stamp set to create a unique stamped background. I love this technique for creating your own patterned papers. This page has a stand mixer, cookie cutters, the most adorable heavy cream ever, and I love how it all came together. Instead of the black Versafine that I love, I opted for the grey Versafine Clair. The grey blends in a little bit better as a background pattern, and isn’t so in your face. Perfect for a subtle patterned paper.
